Blog: A blog is a Web publishing tool that allows students to post text entries similar to a diary or journal. It allows students to work on their writing skills and discuss topics outside of the classroom. Blogs can be used for a variety of subjects, such as science, biology, and history. This blog was used throughout my Educational Technology class to provide feedback and reflection of each assignment.
Video Project: A video project allows students to foster creativity and illustrate what they are learning in the classroom through a video. This video was created as a group assignment using MovieMaker to highlight the importance of staying in school.
Social Bookmarking: Social bookmarking allows users to save important links from the Internet on a Web site that is accessible on any computing device. Social bookmarking allows bookmarks to be shared with others. Diigo is the social bookmarking site used in class to save bookmarks for education.
Online Digital Presentation: Online digital presentation gives students a way to present a paper or project digitally instead of writing a paper. For example, Glogster allows students to create their own virtual posters using text, audio, video, and images and then share them with others. My Glogster illustrated a journal article on the use of podcasts in higher education.
